I want a package of care, how long does it take to get started?

Following your call to Advantage Nursing Agency, an assessment of your requirements will be conducted, care plans agreed and any risk assessments completed. Your care package can then start.

My mother has dementia. Do your staff understand her illness and care requirements?

Our staff are placed with clients based on their training and experience. Only staff with the appropriate training and skills will be placed with people with dementia.

I need a 24hr live in carer. Can you assist me with this?

Please call our office during normal business hours and our staff will be able to assist you.

FAQ – Employment

Do I need health care experience to join your Agency?

Our requirements are six months work experience as an RGN or Health Care Assistant  but this is not mandatory. We consider each application on its own merits, so go ahead  submit with your application.

I sent my application but haven’t heard anything yet?

We always seek references before inviting any potential candidates for interview. Once we are in receipt of satisfactory references only then will we invite suitable candidates for interview.

Can I work full time as an Agency nurse?

The quantity of care packages vary throughout the year. We offer shifts of varying lengths in a variety of care settings. Shifts are distributed according to skills, experience and availability and work is not always guaranteed.

How do I complete my timesheet?

The timesheet should be completed in its entirety and signed by a member of staff on duty otherwise it cannot be processed.

My timesheet is in four colours. Who gets what form?

Please return the white and blue copy to the office, the pink copy goes to the client and retain the yellow copy for your records.

When is the cut off day for pay roll?

Timesheets should be received by Wednesday to ensure payment. Timesheets will not be accepted for payment beyond Wednesday for pay the following week.

Do I need private indemnity insurance?

It is a manadatory requirement of the NMC code for all nurses to have an indemnity arrangement in place for them to practice. For further details please visit the NMC website.
